    Default Version in apple stores of New York

    Has anybody tried to get an iphone today at any apple store of NYC? The soho one or the 5th ave one?

    Which firwmare did they get? I'm afraid I can get the 1.1.1 if I buy an iphone today..

    i can't imagine they have them with 1.1.1 yet, but they will soon. Buy now if you want to chance it or you won't have a chance until the next unlock which could be a long time or a short time.

    most apple stores in nyc are selling 1.1.1 now since lots of people including foreigners buy iphones from them so i wouldn't wanna take that risk if I were you...

    yesterday I bought one at 8pm, the firmware was 1.02

    Where'd you hear this from? I just spoke to Apple store 5th ave and they said the phones do NOT have the new FW on them and would need to be updated, but they could be wrong.

    Bought 2 today from 5th ave store and both have serial 7U**** on them. I'm a bit scared.
