Default Is using an unlocked iPhone illegal?

Since our free unlock changes the IMEI in our phone, is it illegal to use these phones. Any lawyers reading this post?

Basing on what I heard, unlocking phones isn't illegal in the USA (while it is in Italy where I came from)...
But, of course, you'll lose your warranty...

Depends what country you're in. I guess it goes under the same section as the famous swedish site Piratebay. That site is illegal in the US, but not in Sweden.

Iunlock/AnySim DO NOT CHANGE YOUR IMEI NUMBER.
when you update your 1.0.2 iphone the BB Firmware gets updated...and due to unkown reasons still (most likely EPROM corruption) it is not able to read the correct firmware and hence reports the default imei no.
you can think of it like there being a code that says
if unable to read IMEI then IMEI =
so instead of seeing a blank you see that imei no.
