Problem is the options are documented poorly, the code does not do what's poorly documented, then you add another possible level of mistakes on top of that with the GUI, basically that's a perfect recipe for disaster

in other words a noob slayer, I think it would help if some one would put togther a well made gui that would clearly define whats going to happen if people choose to go a certain route, it seems to me like zibri has a little bit of a thing for using people as test subjects wouldn't you agree?

Just restore your iphone with iTunes and send it in and don't worry. Apple probably will not notice any software as the sleep button is broken.

I think a clearer GUI without the default bootloader downgrade already exists: eZiPhone. See http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=31357

Additional advantage: it gives due credit to Geohot and the Dev Team...

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

If you are so sure, why don't you show some proof? I'm not going to be convinced before we actually get reports from someone who got rejected by, with the specific message that the bootloader was not correct version.

wow, you are very great at posting shit. You could tell me what's wrong, and i'll correct it, but i guess i can't expect you do anything helpful, you prefer to just posting shit about ziphone.

And i think that if you use any new version of the GUI, you'll see it's all documented clearly.

recipe for disaster - Wow, the damages ziphone can do is unbelivable. A disaster! Funny though, that you can't find anyone who even bricked their phone with ziphone...

Of course by then it will be too late for a hell of a lot of people (more or less everyone who used ZiPhone).

I think he was talking mainly about the command-line ZiPhone, which said it wouldn't downgrade the bootloader when used with a certain switch (I think -Z N) but actually did. Main objection to the GUI is (1) that the BL downgrade is the default option (should be a conscious decision based on balanced information), and (2) that the credits for Geohot and Dev team(s) are absent -- it only says "ZiPhone is developed by Zibri", which is like saying "every painting in the Metropolitan Museum was created by the construction company that built it".

Maybe there is a glimmer of hope. Here is my serial number (the first 5 numbers):

    88045

Was my bootloader downgraded when I pressed Refurbish? I originally had 1.1.3 when I first got the phone 2 1/2 weeks ago. It's at 1.1.4 now. I think I'm wrong, though.

Well, I read the code, and posted a few problems, that was already too kind they were reported, and never fixed. I can understand why, changing something in that giant spaghetti mess is difficult (hence the average 3 releases in 2 days). Note, I'm only talking about Ziphone. I'm not interested at all in your GUI.

And if you're convinced it's 100% safe, then make a public offer to replace any phone permanently bricked by Ziphone, otherwise, it's all sweet words
