Updating to iTunes 7.4.2

I unlocked my iPhone, and it is working right.

When I unlocked and jalibreaked, i had iTunes 7.3.2 and iNdependence (old version)
I was thinking about updating to iTunes 7.4.2 and the new iNdependence.

However, I would not like to mess with the phone right now, so
what do I have to do, is it recommended to update?

There is no iTunes 7.4.2, the current version is 7.4.1.

There is no problem updating to itunes 7.4.1 with a hacked iphone. However, if you want to do a restore and then re-jailbreak your phone etc under 7.4.1, then you should make sure you use the newest version of the mac/win tools. Older versions of jailbreak can cause issues, so i hear.
