according to my friend from Hong Kong, PCM Magazine has an article saying that unlocked iPhone available in Hong Kong for HK$9588, but only 8 units avaiable...

not sure how they do it..... but i will get the magazine in a few days...... :p

Even this info is real, having an iPhone in HK is useless, because you can't write Simplified/Traditional Chinese messages.

People in China are SMS freaks, if they can't write messages in Chinese with those unlocked iPhone they won't buy it.

it is not true. I sell on ebay and in the last week i sold 3 to china. all locked, why buy it if its available there?

Unless you have an unlocked iPhone in your hands right now and unless you saw it with your own eyes and unless you can't post pictures...this thread is just one of dozends telling us the the well known "tale of a friend who had a friend...".

The unlock is close and it can't be excluded that somebody else wants to take the credit for it by using the Dev Team's method. The truth is: nobody has seen a working unlocked iPhone til now.

I'm talking about the standard consumer market.
