Unlock Sweet Success ~ Mac Osx
I got the below from another post. I about drove myself crazy trying to use the anySIM app from the Dev team after already successfully Unlocking an iPhone with hArro's.
Well I wanted to put my faith in somehting the DEV team worked up and since it was their backend I felt I would give it a try and forgo hArro's. Well error after error and no hope in site hehe sight I went back to the old method.
I am sooo soooo happy to say VOILA Unlocked iPhone. The method below works!! Thats all their is too it!!
(using OS X)
Just want to say i have been to hell and back with this anySIM.app.....i did it and got the UNLOCK FAILURE-The Flash operation succeded but the unlock commands failed.....the second and following times i get-UNLOCK FAILURE-Couldn't locate bytes to patch....I understand the problem is that i cant return the phone to 'VIRGIN RESTORE' cause this anySIM.app is ony a complete unlock for the those phones that havent been tampered with...to move on I have had success even without a 'VIRGIN RESTORE'
THIS SUCCESS HAS BEEN FROM FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS AT:
I didnt use iNdependence, due to the fact that i already have an activated phone through my AT&T SIM...
-Restore phone with iTunes (after anySIM failure)
-Get most current version of App Tapp Installer.app(should be automated and then ull have installer on ur home screen)
-then continue with the picture by picture/step by step guide and ull have an unlocked phone in about 20min
after it was completed I turned off the phone and before turning it on i put in a UK Orange SIM, in no time without any setup it says cing..in top corner then i get an SMS saying welcom to the USA!!!!!
