    Default Unlock a Activated Refurb?

    I've been reading around and watching tutorials about unlocking an iPhone and now I have questions that I can't seem to find answers for.

    1. I've noticed that the tutorials that I've read/seen do not explain how to unlock if the phone has been already activated. Is it still possible to unlock my phone?

    2. I have a refurb iPhone with firmware 1.1.2 -- How and what do I need to get started to unlock the phone? I'm not sure if a refurb falls into the catagory of Out of the Box.

    3. Every video I watch shows a slight different way to unlock the phone. Can someone direct me to a tutorial that is legit?

    4. Where can I find the correct FW? I read somewhere about some exploit file being in the FW?

    Oh I forgot...

    5. I've been reading that unlocking will reduce signal reception, drop calls and corrupt other things...how true is this?
