Default Uaaah, I am so sad, my little iPhone stopped working!

    Hello everybody,

I really need some help here, please.

I received my iPhone two days ago. I checked the firmware (1.0.2) and I succesfully unlocked it, having it working with an Italian TIM sim.

Yesterday I started having "no service" error. In order to try to solve the problem, I tried several times to reactivate iPhone via Independence but nothing changed. I started the iUnlock software again two or three times and finally I got the phone working again.

Yesterday evening again the "no service" signal. I decided to flash the epp using the procedure highlighted in this great forum. I copied the file ICE03.14.08_G.eep
, I sshed the iPhone, I sent the command "launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist", then I tried to bbupdate the file via the "bbupdater -e ICE03.14.08_G.eep" command but the terminal told me that the commcenter was used by something else.

I tried several times but I had no success. I decided to re-do the entire unlock and I wanted to follow the procedure for the virgin state explained in iphonegoboom.com but suddenly the iPhone lost the wifi signal and I was not able to recover it.

In light of the above, I decided to restore the iPhone via iTunes. I pressed the power and home button till the orange signal came up and then I restored the iPhone. The first time iTunes gave me an error, the second time everything worked perfectly.

I started again the unlock procedure, I launched Independence, I succesfully jailbreaked the iPhone and then I tried (with the AT&T sim in) to activate it but I got the "cannot obtain ICCID" error.

I tried several times but nothing. I tried to restore again the iPhone, always getting a first error and then restoring it succesfully but the activation procedure does not work.

Another strange thing is that the iPhone makes sounds when you click on it just after the restore but if I turn it off and then on, the sounds don't work and if I try to check the firmware version via the specific command to be entered into the "emergency call" window I get sloooooow response to the clicks I do on the numbers and the firmware field is BLANK!

What's happening? Can you suggest pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease me some way to recover my little iPhone?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Man! It seems that you have been messing too much flashing with the firmware of the phone Bro. All the errors you've mentioned above seems to match with a lot of people who have encoutered before (again, because they was messing with the firmware).
I think that you should try to make a very very clean restore again with Itunes or whatever it is. After that, put in the original Sim that comes with the phone (at&t) and again the process ( idependent, apptapp, install all the required applications, then use Fugu to transfer Anysim....unlock it again with the at&t sim)
Be careful with every steps because once you run the Anysim, it's a bad idea to run it again on the same phone Bro. SO, try all that again and hope you good luck this time.

sounds like you have been through alot. start slow

after getting it back to normal try to follow this guide alot of people have had really good results

    http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6637

if you still cant get it to work just try the virgin restore again, but you may have used up all your unlock attempts. try getting the virgin restore commands to work a few more times in the terminal sounds like you never got the commcenter to unload and this was stopping you finishing.

    good luck

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. The main problem I am having now is that I have an iPhone which seems factory-restored but I am afraid it is not.

I did the iTunes restore and I get the activate image on the iPhone (the one with the slide "emergency call"). While this seems like a normal iPhone just taken out from the box, it is not. If I slide to the emercency call, I get no sounds when I click on numbers and everytime I click a second passes before the number clicked is displayed. Another think, if I insert the special sequence numbers to check the firmware's version, I get a blank field instead of the firmware number.

From this specific state I believe I cannot (but please tell me if I am wrong) do the virgin restore because:

    1) I cannot trasfer the eep files to the iPhone, given that it is not activated thus I cannot access to its content;

    2) I cannot write the specific commands in the terminal because the iPhone is not ssh enabled.

In this case, what should I do?

Thanks a lot to everyone for their effort to reply to me.

    Thanks!

you can activate it using the old method here if you need
    http://www.pqdvd.net/iphone-unlock-toolkit.html

but you couold just see if it jailbreaks with apptap and use pacay as normal

    with ibricker
then load the files .fls bbupdate and .eep to /bin

    load the terminal app

and run the virgin baseband update commands

if all goes well you can try to unlock again after that

    good luck

    Hello,

    thanks for the reply.

One question: what happens if I jailbreak but I don't activate? Will your method work in this case? I am telling this because I can jailbreak but I cannot activate (it gives me the "error obtaining ICCID" message).

If it is enough to jailbreak, then I can install iBricker (is there a similiar solution for Mac), I transfer the files, I load the terminal and then I run the commands.

    Is it correct?

    THANKS!

Hmm... Another guess might be that you have a bad connection to your SIM. Try clean your SIM card (use the iPhone cloth that comes with the phone) and reinsert it gentle. Make sure it is correctly fit into the socket before reinserting it. I suspect your "No Service" problem might be related to being unable to read the SIM card properly.

jailbreak and then use PACAY (point and click activation) script which automatically places the lockdown file into ur iphone too.

The ICCID problem may arise also when your sim is pin locked.
As stated b others, use the old tools that only activate without needing a sim. Like iphonetool or pqdvd.

Once you activate with that, you can set up wifi and install everything you need.
Do a FULL virgin reflash of the baseband. Restoring with itunes is not going to reflash the baseband.

    Good luck
