Two Very Strange Bugs After Unlocking
Hello:
I unlocked my iPhone with the early iUnlock GUI version (the one that takes 20 minutes) and i've found everything to work fine except for two strange bugs.
In the first place, my iPhone doesn't revieve SMS text messages. It sends them no-problem, but if someone replies, i dont recieve the message (putting my sim card in another phone will make the message arrive as a new message).
Also, when I make a call, I can't initially hear the person that picks up the phone. I figured out a "trick" which consists in basically turning the loudspeaker on and off again, only then I'm able to hear the other person. This only happens when I make the call, not when I recieve it.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for your time.

were you using 1.0.2 when you did it?
maybe try flashing the baseband manually back to what it should be (a restore will not do this) and then either use the same method but try dumping your own nor and use that witht eh unlock or use the new unlock.
just makes sure you flash the original fls and eep in to the baseband.

The incoming SMS is a known issue. Not so much so in the new update of the GUI just released today I dont think.
In my mind you;ve got 2 options, Do a FULL restore of your Iphone via Itunes and repeat the whole process of unlocking with the new GUI (I'm told it only takes 5 minutes but I havent tested)
OR
You could follow this link which gives a solution to the incoming SMS if your comfortable with a few SSH commands. Their pretty straight forward, this is the option I used and it worked a treat

As for the calling issue ... sorry dude never heard of that one. Maybe a restoore would solve any issue on it if its software related??

Restoring with itunes will not help. Since it will not reflash the baseband.
You need to reflash the baseband using BBupdater. Go from the part where unlock failed in this guide.
http://smxy.org/iphone-apps/info/Unlock.html
instead of running iunlock again, use AnySim
But before running AnySim, load the commcenter.plist again.
Have fun.

Thanks, im going to try and do the SSH commands because the post you linked seems to solve both problems that many people, like me, are having.
To run the commands do i have to restore the iPhone before or after? and will i lose my current configuration or apps installed on the phone?
