Two tips: Error 1011 loops and Youtube activation
Hi,
This may be useful to you
First the famous 1011 error and looping iphones. We had one of those. Tried pretty much everything, battery disconnection, iphuc fiddling, fake launchdaemon to bbupdate it, etc etc. It was declared dead. But today we found this from nullriver, and guess what, the iPhone came back to life. Try it out.

Now Youtube. There is A LOT of noise surrounding Youtube's activation, a lot of theory and confusion. Here's what I found:
1. You only need 3 files with any version of the firmware, including 1.0.2. data_ark.plist, device_private_key.pem, device_public_key.pem.
2. You don't need to backup anything or paste anything from old files. Just copy the files to ~/Library/Lockdown
3. activation_records files are not needed. Forget about them. PS: we have the pactched lockdownd activation, so the directory doesn't even exists.
4. I found that some phone worked fine, and others didn't. Same process, same files. Some worked, some not. It was puzzling me. I discovered that the whole activation process takes your iPhone's date and time settings into account. YouTube must be validation this in any way. So, by setting the time and date to correct values, sometimes but just adjusting the iPhone by some minutes, I managed to get all iPhone's Youtube.app working. All.
And forget about fancy GUI apps to jailbreak, activate, etc. You're gonna hurt yourself
Just learn to use iphuc and ssh and you can do everything with a better understanding of what you're doing and a much better control over your iPhone. Just my advice.
Hope it helps.
