hey, guys

I jailbroke my iphone and used my old att sim card with it. After playing with it for a while, I found two odd things.

1. Settings->General->Network, I only have two entries: VPN and Wifi. There is no EDGE. I am not going to use EDGE, but just wondering why the entry is missing.
2. My iphone can use Wifi w/o any problem. Also I installed OpenSSH using installer.app.
Now my iphone and my macbook are both connected to a wireless router. They both can access internet and ping the router. But they CANNOT ping one another. Nor can one ssh onto the other. Any1 has the same problem?

using independence did you use jailbreak and then activate or just jailbreak?

do i need to instal ssh to be able to use with a cingular simcard?
