Hello good people,

I'm taking a trip to the US (im canadian) and I was wondering if there is anyway I can turn off all phone features but still keep the wifi active. That way I don't have to deal with roaming charges and limit myself to the number of calls I make down there. Airplane mode shuts off both wifi and phone so thats no good. I thought bossprefs could take care of this but there isn't an option. I'm using 1.1.2 jailbroken and unlocked. Thanks a lot for the response!

You can try pulling out your sim card...

Thanks, don't know why I didn't try that myself. please let me know if there is a software method also. Havent found one myself tho so it probabily doesn't exist.

i think you are concerned for no reason, you would only incure roaming charges if you answered a call. silencing or sending to voice mail will not incure charges.

roaming = reverse long distance

when you enter the states rogers will send you a txt msg that says something along the lines of " enjoy your stay but remember there are aditional charges for making calls"
