Hi,

I saw on my At&T bill that the iphone always deduct 0.02 cents for every internet and email transaction even we are on a wifi net!

Is there a possibility to add a button for turn off the phone signal without stopping the wifi? If I want to be 100 % shure that the iphone does not use the carrier signal I have to take out the SIM card.

The airplane mode stopps also the wifi signal...

I found a solution:

Settings - Carrier - choose a net who has no signal and then you receive a message:
Network lost your selected network is no longer available. choose dismis and you have no signal but wifi is okey with the right sim inserted! to activate signal go to carrier and choose automatic

You can also "lock" the SIM with a 4 digit code.
you have to power off&on to take effect.
I would still like a way to keep EDGE working while ignoring phone calls.
