According to Erica Sadun, "The entire bsd suite still works -- as do standard command-line utilities compiled for ARM."

    What does this mean exactly?

Great! But why not publishing a copy of all the progs and libs of the 1.1.1. (e.g. /). IF SSH works, it should be a piece of cake ...

This means that the UNIX commands contained in the "bsd suite" can be used under 1.1.1 also. The MacOS X on the iPhone is stripped down to some UNIX commands and the "bsd suite" completes this command set. You also can use command line tools like "bbupdater" etc.

Does anybody know if this was achieved with a previously unlocked or virgin phone?
