I know, not another disable-my-edge post but I've tried 3 or 4 methods with no success,

I have an iPhone 3G on 4.0 that I jailbroke and unlocked for use with a NO DATA t-mobile plan. But, 4.0 was so slow it practically bricked my phone at times so I downgraded to 3.1.3, then re-JB and unlocked. MUCH better, but without the cellular data toggle (thats in 4.0), I'm getting charged for data usage.

I tried iphonenodata.com, unlockit.co.nz, SBSettings, and even made and installed my own config profile in iPhone Configuration Utility for a fake APN.

None of it worked... I'm still recording usage stats.

I have a hunch that it could have come from the downgrade but I have no idea.

Any help?

Try: EDGE Disabler from Cydia.pushfix.info

Also, don't post multiple threads in different sections. If someone has an idea or an answer, they will reply to your first thread. A moderator can move your thread if it was posted in the wrong section.

Creating multiple threads just creates more work for the moderators. Which takes time away from answering questions.

sorry about that Olethros :\ after I posted I thought I might have put it in the wrong section. Won't happen again.

But I tried your suggestion and found I'm also having cydia issues... a bunch of Failed to Fetch, Error: Cached failure, Error: Refreshing Data, and Host Unreachable errors.. especially ispaziorepository and modmyi..

These wouldn't allow me to download Cydia.pushfix.info and they might be the problem in the first place. I think I might back up, restore, and re-jailbreak/unlock and try again....
