I agree, if only you can delete the items that u dont want to display in the installer app, I'll be very happy

Better question. Has anyone actually installed one? Ran into a guy in a park yesterday who told me that he did and I must say that I couldn't help but ask myself "why?" But alas, I guess what's so nice about having an open iPhone. It allows you to install whatever you want and not to be forced to have an iPhone that looks like everyone else's and contains the same apps, add-on, etc..

I have mild dyslexai. The dictionaries hleped me out tremendousyl.

Seriously, I doubt I want a pronunciation dictionary, but the encyclopedia ones are cool to browse. Much like random entries into Google.
Can I sync my iPhone to my Newton?

I don't understand the dictionaries either. WE HAVE THE INTERNET. IT'S 2007. If you need to look up a word/phrase/title/anything, why would you want to look anywhere other than the internet? Haha, and why would you need 50 different types of dictionaries as options?!

The idea of static references on the iPhone that don't require the internet is actually pretty cool, though -- particularly if you're not near a WiFi spot, sometimes looking up info locally will be faster than via the interweb over EDGE.

Personally, as a tech support person, I'd love to see someone port over MacTracker (mactracker.ca) and the HP Product Bulletin to the iPhone...
The rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated...

The dictionary's should be linked to the app. If you don't have the app installed then it shouldn't show the dicts.

Or have a separate repository for dictionary stuff thats a manual install.
