I hate for my first post here to be a complaint, but I'm throwing in with the rest of folks who are...dubious about iPSF. I understand that CNN, Engadget and Gizmodo have all displayed reasonable proof of the hack's existence, but without widespread distribution and functionality success stories, I have to admit I'm thinking that this is a case of the opportunistic and the credulity of the hopeful.

I'm not impugning CNN, Engadget and Gizmodo - what I'm saying is that there is something that looks to be really cool, and if it appears sufficiently to be the real deal, they may not have taken the extra steps to discover if it really works. The Gizmodo demo apparently did not -actually- unlock the phone from what I recall (Due to the iPSF authentication backend not being online), I know next to nothing of the environment Engadget tested in - and I am extremely dubious about anything relating to technology coming out of CNN.

I desperately want this to be true. I live in Alaska, where we can't get iPhone service from AT&T, and I lack the knowhow and steady hands for the hardware unlock. But until the software sees wide distribution there are enough red flags on this to make me keep my 450USD in my pocket right now. I want to be wrong so, so badly. If this turns out to be "the shit" as it were, I'll be the first one to throw their hat in the air.

But so far it seems like so much smoke and mirrors - it's Monday. Where are the licenses? Where are people doing the yippee-kay-yay dance with unlocked iPhones? Where is our truly undeniable proof?

    Here's the proof:

It was found in the pudding.

But to my opinion, the Hardware unlock is much more exciting than the Free SW unlock and even more than the IPSF SW unlock app.
Cause at the end, you really feels like you were doing something other than type a cpl of commands or jus click at 1 command

But by that time IPSF has already received all the payments and don't care, while the resellers will try to minimize the damage by high price-droppings on ebay (for those who didn't get the "free-SW-hack" -> Iphone 8GB still costs 450-480USD on ebay, although you can buy it for 399USD in every apple-store!).

Just a theory but I guess, the scenario will be alike...what do you think?
    What did I say?
