TIFF exploit in 1.1.2 and later
i know i cant do it.. and i dont know if its even possible but...since jailbreakme.com is like the easiest way to jailbreak your phone using the tiff exploit method.. it would be amazing if anyone can extract the newest firmware which is currently 1.1.2 and just change the files that are tiff vulnerable and then put it back into the firmware restore file.. and clearly since we know how to fix the tiff we can just patch it after using installer... the reason why this would be really useful.. is because we wouldnt need to downgrade to 1.1.1 and then oktoprep it and upgrade it...and if we can do it.. any firmware would be jailbreakable without any problems
what do u guys think? is this even possible?

If we found out how to properly do that, we wouldn't even bother re-exploiting safari. We'd just put the modded lockdownd in, jailbreak it, put installer.app in, and then make it a restore file.

LOL
goudok, you're awesome!
Classic!

+1. Why make a shortcut when you can just do it.

ya you guys are right.. that would be the best way.. however nobody has figured out a way to do that.. but in 1.1.1 there was already a way of having safari crashing.. so chances are its a lot easier to make that...

You have no clue goudok on how things work.
Please read post #2 by otachi for a reason why.
We need the digital signatures, and of course, none of us have them. Until then, it's not possible... so shhh.

Some guys at the dev team are halfway there actually, the problem lies in re-encrypting the DMG with the same encryption method + same key

DogGunn... you are right i dont know how things work.. at least i can admit to it...i just came up with that idea and thought that it would be the easiest way of getting the phone jailbroken... but you have no clue how things work as well cuz if you did you wouldve done it a long time ago... so stop running your big mouth and trying to look cool..

Ummm, if I had a clue I would be doing what a long time ago? Would help if what you were saying made sense.

Doubt that they will ever get it, but that is one way of doing it.
