Default To those who claimed warranty on their hacked iPhone

    Did it work?

Please vote and explain how you tried it (those who didn't get replacement as well)

What did they tell you as to why they DENIED warranty?
What did you tell them aas to why you didn't activate your at&t plan?
What questions did they ask you?
Did you send it in or did you go to an apple store?
    and so on

I know that there are a lot of threads about warranty already, but I think this one is different.

It would really help me, as I'm considering if i should try to claim warranty.
It would be quite a hassle, because I live in Germany.

    Thanks in advance
    Andi

I restored to stock 1.1.4 before i brought it in. My problem was that the lower part of the touch screen did not function.

    the replaced is w/o question.

I am a ATT customer, so when I restored it, I just activated it again, so except for the bootloader, it was mostly a stock phone.

I basically f***ed up my iphone with the geohot unlock for bootloader 4.6. My mistake, i unloaded commcentre, then forgot to load it back again. Then it kinda messed up; got repair needed message. By this time i was shitting it. Luckily my iPhone was 10days old, so i took it back to my carphonewarehouse store and got it replaced.

well mine was a yes and no, it fell on a carpeted floor and would not restart, so i took it to apple and at first the guy said no, because i had no at&t information and second, i had no tool to get my tmobile sim out, so that looked really bad, but because my phone was registered to an apple employee he took it back no questions asked
