Ive read on how it doesnt support some types of files in your itunes but all mine are converted to mp3's and it wont let me drag them onto it???

As I understand, the way to put music on iphone is done by clicking the SYNC button and all the songs that are on Itunes will be in you phone once it syncs. I tried to drag manually a song and I can do it. If you want to add one new song that you recently put in itunes, you need to click the sync button and that song will be transferred.

Yep that's how you do it.
It really annoying compared with the iPod drag and drop.
I have a too many files for 1 iPhone so I have to make playlists and sync those.

One trick that I used to use with my son's nano was only to sync checked items, that way you can narrow down what you don't want by unchecking stuff. While still getting new stuff in there by default.

From what i gather - you cant actually drag and drop music from within iTunes after loading stuff into your library? Thats what I first tried. I had to create a playlist - drag the music from the library to the playlist and then drag the playlist to the phone.. thats the only way I could get music onto the phone.

Can you get music on the phone through itunes without creating a playlist first?
