    Question Text message confirmation

Wasn't able to find my answer through the search option, so that's why I'm asking it here:

Is there any way that I can add an option, so that I get confirmation that my text msg has been received by the receiver. Any small script maybe ? Maybe a similar thing as was done with the dictionary setting?!

    (I'm on 1.1.1)

This had been asked a thousand times. So search again and read up and you will notice that it can not be done.

It is possible to get text message delivery confirmation by putting a code at start of message. But I'm guessing it depends on the network.

I'm on O2 in the UK and if I put *0# at the start of the message, I get a text back telling me when it was delivered.

    The message goes like this.

    "Message 2279060245 to 447855500000, was delivered at 14:48 0n 26/10/07."

Hi, for Vodafone here in Mumbai, I use *n# to get a delivery report. No, the receiver will not see this code... send an sms to yourself and you will recv it without the code.

I got this code from one of the threads on this forum itself.. cant remember where now, so do a search and you'll find it.

With neither *n# nor *0# do I get a delivery report. I also still see the code I typed in, in my received msg.

I'm on vodafone NL, anyone know what code you have to use ?

This is some thing that is completely independent of the iPhone, call your carrier and ask what code they use.
