So I am trying to transfer my apps that I have purchased via my iPhone over to iTunes but it never transfers anything. I use to receive some type of error before but I always just ingored it and thought it really didn't matter. Now that I have been playing with OS 3 and having to do diffrent restores from time to time it's pretty annoying to have to download each apps again via the App store on the phone.

Does anyone know why this would happen? I am running Windows and not running iTunes 8.2.0.10. When I selet to transfer purhases nothing happens. It only seems to transfer podcasts that I have downloaded via the iPhone.

Also, what if i were to go in iTunes and buy the apps again. Would it actually charge me a 2nd time? Or would it do like the iPhone does which says I have already paid for it and I can download it again for free.

Apps get transfered automatically from the iPhone to iTunes and vice versa. The problem that you have is that your computer is not authorized for the account in which you are purchasing the apps. To solve this, go to iTunes, advanced, authorize computer and sign in using the same Apple ID and password that you are using on your iPhone.

If you already purchased an app, and download it again, you won't be charged, you can do this unlimited times. This is just for apps, and does not apply for media.
