    Default [AT&T] 20 $ balance got removed

    Hi

I already had a pay as you go service and I recently boutght 1.1.2 OTB in usa.

The Fake Activation and Jailbreak and reupgrade to 1.1.2 worked fine ins STEPS 1 and STEP 2

Then I tried my att pay as you go card in iphone and it worked . and after 1 day I checked my balance was reduced by 20 $ apx. I don;t know when I have not registered any thing then why would my pay as you get sim balance reduced ..

I already had configured my iphone wifi to use my DSL modem with wireless at home.

Can any one tell me why after fake activation also att reduced my balance

    Thanks

it was using edge to check email ect. you either need to get a app that disables edge or you can edit your carrier.plist to allow edge editing (change the line that says false to true) and take out the edge settings. (thats your best option btw)

or disable automatic mail checking etc

if you have anything like that enabled, it will do it in sleep mode
and wifi is disabled in sleep mode

    Thanks Otachi for reply,

I have not used Edge, but do you mean even if I don't configure any email on iphone and configure wifi-network to use dsl modem-wifi, it will still use my carrier and reduce balance ?

because I don't think I configured any email and even if I configure I though it would use my wireless modem/gateway than carrier..

other thing I thought att automatically cut 20$ for data plan as if I am subscribed to their data services

    Thanks

Trust me. You do not want Wifi to be activated in sleep mode. Your battery will be empty before you can say "WTF?"

    Default

go to settings- mail - autocheck- select MANUAL

do the above to disable auto check

    to disable sleep mode
go to settings- general - auto lock - never

but this will drain your battery and also will go into sleep if you lock the phone
there is no way to disable sleep (its an automatic feature to save battery)

    hope that helps
