i've got a italy iPhone 3GS, factory unlocked.
i use it with sunrise, the 3rd carrier in switzerland and the only one without an officially iPhone (therefore i needed the italy iPhone).

however, i didnt not have 3G reception once so far.

no i see three possible scenarios:

-bad 3G coverage. possible, tho i didnt even have 3G in Zurich city.
-too old SIM card. mine is about 8 years old, maybe it doesnt support 3G. possible.
-blocking iPhone user. i dont think they do that.


so, anyone in here from switzerland using sunrise that could share their experience?

Your SIM is most likely too old. Get a new SIM and you shouldn't have any more problems.

i talked to a friend via IM and he's got no problem with 3G on his iPhone with sunrise.
