Just thought i'd let you guys know i successfully completed geohots method. I am now running on tmo usa with no problems whatsoever. I just wanted to create this post to let any local peeps know im willing to help/do the unlock for them. I should be creating a write up in the next couple days as im unlocking a friends.

Did you use needles or soldered wires? Also, any tips on opening the iPHone?

i did the needle method, and my only advice is be careful with the metal side, especially the side WITHOUT buttons. All the tutorials i've read say start with the side without buttons cause it's easier, but honestly, the side WITH buttons came right off, and the side without was stuck SOO bad, i bent mine a bit, but i have another back cover on the way. Patience is the only advice i can give, tomorrow im going to be doing another one, so im gonna take some pics.

Did you use a PC to run the programs? Where to download the programs? Thanks in advance.

Yes i used a pc for the entire process, running vista as well. I followed the guide here the only thing this is missing is that after you jailbreak, but before you actually start to use winscp etc, you need the bsd subsystem on your phone.
