I followed the steps to unlock the phone. After using ieraser, everything looked fine but I suddenly lost connection to the phone and I experienced the "No WiFi" - problem mentioned in another thread on this forum.

The iPhone now only shows the yellow warning sign along with the message "Please Connect to iTunes". iTunes then states "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes".

After restoring the software (I tried all 3 versions 1.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2) on multiple machines (all Macs), iTunes is finally restoring the firmware and finishes with the error message "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1011)". The phone then returns to the yellow warning sign, demanding to beeing connected to iTunes. In this state I cannot access it using any of iphoneinterface, iNdependence or iphuc.

I am completely clueless on what to try next. Since I am abroad, I don't have the option of bringing it back to the store. Are there any ideas on how to get out of this desaster?

I think the Iphone is broken.

I got the prob too. I unlocked by Geo method with every steps looked so fine. When the last step finished, I try upgrading to 1.0.2 but got error 1011.
However, I solved it this morn, after about twenty times trying to remove/install iTunes/AppleMobileDevices + restore iPhone. Somewhat lucky!

But after that, I cannot jailbreak in WinXP. I tried with iNdependence on IntelMac and it says activate ok. However, I still cannot use my sim. IMEI has been changed

And now: iPhone go crazy, cannot do anything!!!

Anyone else got this and solved???

Hidalgo, when you succeeded, what version of iTunes did you use? 7.3.2? Did you use the current iPhone software (1.0.2) or did you choose another one?
