Stolen iPhone?
I received today an iPhone that i bought on Ebay in US (I'm living in Europe).
First thing I saw is that the iPhone was used... (in the Ebay auction it was sold as "new"!!!)
I saw VoiceMails dating from oct. 24th to nov. 5th, than after that nothing until dec. 6th. Strange!
3 messages where left...
The same with SMS... many SMS during a certain time and then nothing...
The AT&T SimCard was accepted without any restrictions or asking for activation in iTunes (so I think it has been activated in US).
So it is possible that I have a stolen iPhone?
It was delivered in the original Case, but opened (and used).
I have the serial number... week 46!
and the phone number 1 (727)XXX XXXX ... from the AT&T Sim Card...
The seller (from Florida) has now negative evaluations because he has sell stolen
merchandise... (during the auction in december everything seems fine)
I want to be sure that my iPhone is not a stolen one.
Where can I verify this?

ring at&at in the USA.
They can tell you if the phone has been blocked in the USA.
They will need the IMEI.

Hold on I sold over a 100 iphones on ebay all were new and i got positive feedback on every sale! became platinum powerseller will an average of 30,000 in ebay revenue every month due to the iphone.
rule of thumb is CHECK FEEDBACK!!! with iPhones look for iPhone feedback.
if the seller has not sold for a year or more then be careful since it could be a stolen account.

I'm living in Belgium.
How to contact AT&T from aboard?
Has anyone a direct number for the appropriate service?
I don't want to stay for minutes in a waiting line...
that will be to expensive for me.

If there are still SMS on the phone, why don't you send a SMS to one or two of the old contacts and ask them if they know someone (maybe you even see his name in the SMS) whom an iPhone was stolen from?
