Starting GUI App like from SpringBoard but via SSH
Hello,
I'm looking for a way to start an App on iOS 4 via SSH, so that it's GUI appears on the device's screen, like starting Apps from SpringBoard. There was a solution from Erica Sadun for iPhone OS 2, but it doesn't seem to work on OS 3 and later:
EricaUtilities -> Program "launch". Run an application from the command line as if it had been launched in Springboard. You must submit the application id, e.g. launch com.apple.Calculator.
Is there a way to do something like this on iOS 4?
Actually I need to reboot the iPhone automatically every day, I think it can be done by launchd (System/Library/LaunchDaemons) and than automatically start a certain GUI-App. Maybe it can be done by launchd also? It didn't work when I tried, that's why I ask, but maybe I did something wrong.
Thank you.

Hi Olethros,
thank you, but I know how to reboot iPhone from a command line, the question is how to let it reboot automatically every day. Another question is how to launch a GUI App (Safari for instance) from a command line, so that it appers on the iPhone's displays, and to schedule this task if possible.

Hello,
I'm still looking for a solution. I doesn't matter if the solution is easy or not.
For instance the Activator.app is able to start another GUI app on home button press, so at least programatically it seems to be possible. Maybe anybody knows now how to start a GUI app programatically or using a terminal?
Thank you,
Arthur.
