    Default SSH seems to sleep together while my iPhone sleeps?

    Sometimes I find that ssh stops responding when my iphone is in sleep mode, and I have to unlock it to get it responding.
    If so, does that mean ssh is in sleep mode too? so why do we have to worry about it using the battery??

    WiFi is turned off when the iPhone is in sleep mode and that is why you can't connect to ssh, not because ssh is "sleeping". ssh is not turned off unless you explicitly turn it off.

    Nope. Sleep mode turns it off and there is no setting to control that (so far nobody found one).

    Try installing the IMAPIdler program referenced in the Native Software thread. One side effect is to keep WiFi enabled while the phone sleeps.

    Keep in mind: leaving wifi on will suck the life out of your battery much faster.
