Imagine they showed a hardware unlocked phone w/ an ATT sim to those monkeys at Engagdet and CNN.

They then take Pre-Orders (This is the crux of the scam, get people to amass cash and send it in rather than trickle a false unlock etc, that would quickly spread over the internet that they were con artists). This way collect large amounts upfront, before rumours spread, and then BAM!. no unlock! And at 50 x $50....$2500 a pop, x 50 people north of $100k ) scammed in $50 increments no one will ever chase for. This does have beuatiful scam written all over it!

This is the odd part of it, the mass buying leads me to think this is a real scam. Jerks sending cash in, collecting from everyone, then middlement get burned.

It could be hilarious unless you are the one collecting the cash...then you are going to be up shits creek without a paddle!!!!

SO be craeful, if it smells like shit, it looks like shit, maybe it is SHIT!

sharkwaters, they UNLOCKED engadgets (ryans phone) remotely via the internet and talked to them on the ponhe.. They fdid not bring a iphone to them.

OMG how many posts do we need calling this a scam.. if its a scam then its a scam but why does it seems so many people want this to be a scam just so they can post 'Ha ha im so clever I was right you were wrong'

If it IS a scam then hats off to them for pulling it off - worth 36 bucks just for the diversion at work over the past few days !!!!

Like 99% of the other people on this forum I am going into this with my eyes so open you would have nightmares if you saw me.....we honestly don't need people to post threads telling us what we already know.
