I live in India and ill be getting my iphone in Jan.. I recently heard a few things which arent possible on the iphone and hence wanted to confirm..

1) Does the iphone allow for transfer of pics, videos, music files over bluetooth to any other mobile or pc?

2) Can i set any mp3 file or music file as a ringtune on my iphone?

2) yes, 1.0.2 easy, 1.1.1 with some work needed but yes

1) why not? is there no hack which allows the same?

1. Bluetooth is too slow for music and videos, just email them. If you have it hacked for apps, send song and send pic allow you to email music or set a song as your ringtone.

how slow compared to normal phones? email would cost me money, hence i dont want that option.. im sorry but i didnt get the second part abt apps etc.. can u explain that again..

beg,plead or threaten apple...you can not transfer files with your iphone via bluetooth.

did you also know that it cannot shoot video

if u cant transfer files over bluetooth, wat else can u do with bluetooth? just use a bluetooth headset with it?

how come theres no hacks for file transfer over bluetooth yet? its an imp feature of a phone..
