    Question [Solved] How do I find iPhone Version OTB, about to use ZiPhone 3.0

    Hi,

    I have an iphone and just downloaded ZiPhone 3.0, but when I turn on the iphone it only gives me the number pad. How can I get to the Settings to check current version of the iPhone?

    Hey.

    Don't use ziphone at the moment. Iphonedev team is about to release "pwaned". It will be better than ziphone.

    ziphone downgrades your bootloader to3.9: which will invalidate your warranty.

    If you are really deperate: try iliberty or iplus. it doesnt really matter what firmware you are running.

    ok, If you learn to read maybe you might be able to tell that although I mentioned ZiPhone, my question is not regarding problem with ZiPhone but the iPhone itself. I hope this forum is not full of people like you.

    Let me repeat it. How do I get to the "Settings" menu on the Iphone right out of the box?

    Simple: You can't (unless its 1.1.2).

    If your planning to jailbreak ONLY then you can use the new ZiPhone.

    But if you are unlocking your going to void your warranty and IF you ever need to return it to Apple then you won't be able to as the change ZiPhone makes is permanent.

    PWNED will be out later today and is fully reversible so I would wait for that if you want to unlock.

    Of course if you bought it in another country or its been more than 14 days for exchange or 30 days for faults since you purchased it or your not on an official iPhone contract then you won't have a warranty anyway so you can use it without worrying about warranty voiding changes.

    But if your inside any of those things I would hold back and wait for Pwned!
    iPhone US 8GB
    FW 1.0.2--> iUnlock--> iPhoneSIMfree--> 1.1.1 --> 1.1.2--> Soft upgrade 1.1.3 --> 1.1.4 using signal.app
    iPhone UK 16GB
    FW 1.1.3 OOB --> 1.1.4 --> iPlus 1.2 unlocked!

    <----If I helped you out, rep points are always nice (thanks for that idea!)
