Default Solution - WiFi (Wi-Fi). Always ON. Wont go to stand by. Kills battery.

Just updated the 3GS to iOS 4.1 and now....The WiFi never turns off and kills the battery overnight. I use the SBSetting WiFi toggle manually when I can, but I usually fall asleep with the music (TuneIn Radio/Streaming) using it's built-in timer. Notifications is OFF. All push from Facebook and Skype are set to Off. Before I could make it stay ON by using "Insomia". That was perfect. Now I cannot turn it off.... ATimeTool, iScheduler don't work. Any ideas?
(Multitaskingdoes not drain the battery/at least not noticable. I can tell the difference when I turn off WiFi manualy)

Did you hacktivate or activate via iTunes? When you turn on push notifications for facebook and skype do they actually work?

Thank you for your help. I don't exactly understand the word "Hacktivate", but I have a Custom Firmware 4.1 that I made through Pwnage 4.1.2 (Simple mode), which I DFU'd into the iphone via iTunes (after some nightmares and with your help).

Honestly, I don't even have a Skype account (I just installed it...maybe one day...). I have a facebook account but I use it very very rarely. ....I just had a friend send me a message, I've got the email on the computer...but no notification on the iPhone (Strange!!!). I would normaly get one on my old iOS-3.1.2.

OK, so I've done some research + downloaded PushDoctor from Cydia, then I used the iPusher from iTunes store (Push test app), and I now get the "Yay, push notifications work fine!"....I feel that I'm on the right track. Now how about the wifi? I just turned OFF push notifications and will see if the WiFi will go on Standby now...I guess I have to wait for it though....

Default PushDoctor Fixes Push Notificanions AND Persistent Wifi

Thanks for all your help. Your clue led me to the solution: PushDoctor from Cydia Fixes Push Notifications AND Persistent ON Wifi. Perhaps you may want to make "Sticky" of this. I've seen MANY people have this same problem.
