I can confirm that this works. Ive tried all the other quick fixes (ssh off, ask networks etc) with no successes.

I'm on a Week 38 phone that would die in a day of regular usage. I used this solution last night, rebooted the phone and recharged fully. I've been surfing for an hour now and no visible battery usage where as before, I'd have used a quarter of my battery by now.

    Thanks Raffi!

Thanks from me too Raffi. I used ZiPhone and downgraded to 3.9. Now up to 4.6 again and battery seem to be much much better.

Default It's the battery indicator that is wrong with 3.9 BL

Ok, I know it seems crazy but I did the experience and left my 1.1.3 OTB iphone ziphoned to 3.9BL, at minimum battery and have been able to use my phone for almost 1 more day. I think that the BL gives wrong information and seems logical because the BL is the bios that interact with hardware....Just give it a try and will see.

What should I do if i have the same problem except that i've never downgraded the bootloader? I just pwned the phone ( i was on 1.1.2 with a normal battery life) and now i'm on 1.1.4 with a 18hours approx battery life

Is it OK to be using BootNeuter without using Pwnage? As described in the original post, does this Installer source install it correct? (As described on the dev site, it should be installed one of two ways: either using Pwnage, or make sure that it has the suid-root bit set. I presume the Installer source does the latter?)

For example, I have an 1.1.4 OOTB phone that I've previously done with iPlus, and the battery issue may effect it (currently sitting on 3.9FB bootloader). I'd like to install BootNeuter, presuming only that the current unlock method and BootNeuter don't conflict.

BootNeuter is really awesome. It works fantastic. It is really the solution for your battery drain. Have one more question. I'm still at 1.1.3. But i want to upgrade now to 1.1.4. Do i have to downgrade from 4.6 to 3.9 with BootNeuter before restoring or can i restore immediately?

    Thx

I haven't tried it myself but that does sound like a logical explaination.
