Discuss [Solution] Fix Battery Drain after update from 1.1.2 to 1.1.4 at the General - Hackint0sh.org; Hi,

My iphone is a pwned 1.1.4 OTB and the battery goes to the un-usable battery state when it still is at 74%. When I connect it to the dock it turns on after one minute with 74% battery and in a few seconds it jumps directly to 82%.
Quite strange in my view.
In the beginning I thought it just needed to perform a full-charge/discharge but already is the 2nd battery cycle and still have strange battery values.
Still. the battery holds for the hole last 3 days without intensive use and without any syncs (no power connection).
Does someone had similar problems and how have you solved them ?
BTW, how long it should take from completely discharge to a full charge ?
It seems more and more this has something to do with the battery meter rather than the actual charge.
Anyone else agree?
I totally agree with you. At least in my case.
Even the iphone reaction to being in charge is strange ...
Isn't the baseband which provides battery metering information ?
Maybe it is related to pwned baseband unlocking.
Mine isn't pwned at all - unlocked, jailbroken and activated with iLiberty+.
Feels like an 1.1.4-firmware issue.
Works for touch too???
does this method work for ipod touch 32Gb 1.1.3 otb? im havin battery drain issues after upgrading to 1.1.4..was thinking about using the boot neuter
and ive used Ziphone to unlock it
Funny thing happend today. Battery indicator was around 80% and I was browsing itunes on my phone when it suddenly turned off! Turned it back on to see battery is empty. Connected to power and hard reset the phone. Battery went up from 10% to 20% in about 5 minutes and then to around 60% in about 15 minutes. I'm on 1.1.4. This battery problems could be related to 1.1.4. Never had an issue on 1.1.1.
iPhone (OTB 1.1.1 / Currently 3.1)
Unlock, activation, jailbreak: PwnageTool 3.1
City Fido, Vancouver
after neutering my bootloader to 4.6 which was downgraded by ZiPhone, i have noticed a slight improvement...
Used BossPrefs and closed SSH
Usage: 6 Hours, 9 Minutes
Standby: 1 Day, 10 Hours
8GB iPhone: Unlocked/Jailbroken [ZiPhone]
Firmware: 1.1.4 :iphone:
Upgraded to Firmware 2.0.1 ------> Dev Team Rocks!
Have anyone contacted Apple concerning a possible battery drainage/meter issue on the 1.1.4 upgraded firmware?
How many of you with battery draining issues are using IMAP or PUSH mail?
After some testing and research it seems more and more like there's where the problem is.
That after 1.1.4-update the IMAP and PUSH mail never stops getting new mail. That it tries to get the same emails over and over in some kind of loop, even though it's already been loaded once.
Can you please try disabling mail for a day or two and see if it makes any difference? Especially if you're using IMAP/PUSH.
Hopefully we can come to some conclusion.
