    Default Software VS Hardware Unlock

I have been following most of the threads here for past couple of months. I appretiate all the efforts of iPhoneDev team and all the people involved in the software unlock.

However I cant help but notice that there are some people who are having no problems with the software unlock. But there are a lot more people that are having troubles with the SW unlock and to top it off iTunes updates and firmware updates are resulting into more problems(All sort of problems).

I was wondering if at this point it would be better idea to do a hardware unlock instead of software. It may be difficult but if it is atleast update(iTunes/FW update) resistant then wouldnt it be better to just to a hardware unlock.

I am not sure so please shed ur thoughts.

    Cheers

Use software unlock first. If 1.1.1 brick your iPhone, try to use hardware unlock

    True no harm doing that

However I want to know if the Hardware unlock is Update proof (any type of updates)?

Hw unlock is not update proof nor is it guaranteed to work in the future, there is no real benefit of doing it unless you want to practice smd soldering.
