"The software required for iPhone is not installed, Run the..." on my 32-bit XP? wtf?
Ok so I was attempting to unlock my iPhone using the Brickr/jailbreak/command prompt method.
after typing the following two commands:
cd /System/Library/Lockdown/
putfile /System/Library/Lockdown/iPhoneActivation.pem
all of a sudden I can't sync my iPhone with iTunes. I get the "The software required for iphone is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove itunes, then install itunes again" message, even though it was working perfectly for the past three days and I use 32-bit XP windows. (Only suppose to happen to 64-bit)
I've tried on three different XP computers, all with fresh installs of iTunes and I get the same problem.
I finally gave in and purchased the iphonesimfree software (I'm not very savvy when it comes to this) --and now I just want to get my phone unlocked!
Can anyone help me with the iTunes issue?
thanks!!
