So... att vs. tmobile

So just bought an iphone 3g off a friend. (his contract was up) my contract with verizon ends soon and I would like honest feedback about both carriers. I've heard tmobile plans are generally cheaper, and I know apparently you cant use 3g on tmobile. any advice would be appreciated. thanks

ps, my iphone is jailbroken at the moment.

T-Mobile has MUCH better customer service and seems much more custom-friendly all-around, so if you don't need a 3G connection, I'd stick with them (but check coverage patterns first to make sure that you'll have a signal). If, however, you do need 3G, you have no choice but to go with ATT.

i can answer this.

i had both tombile and at&T (currently).

Whwn we first got tmobile we just cancelled our verzion contract and well..version had GREAT coverage. i used to get signal in basements of my college! at first i hated tmobile...cuz of the coverage, however it has gotten REALLy good. and the plans are really cheap. unlimited texting costs only 20 bucks on tmobile whereas it costs 30 on at&T.

the coverage for at&T sucks. i get lost calls soo many times and problems with my connection. I get like these weird funky noises on some of my calls as if someone is scrambling the call, recording or tapping into it. I HATE at&T and wish i never switched. oh yea...and the same plan we had with t-mobile...costs about $30-50 MORE on AT&T.

i would go with tmobile here in los angles i get full bars almost everywhere and the edge is pretty fast i get 160kbs on it. My monthly plan is 1800mins free nights and weekends, 5 my faves, unlimited net and messaging(pics txt vid) with 3 phones for 110bucks a month. each phone gets my faves and has unlimited everything. pretty good ehhh?
Plus their customer service is amazing
