When I receive and sms and my iPhone is sleeping, it wakes up and shows the SMS in a popup mode. However, the contact name isnt displayed. Only the persons numbers, as in, +65 ########. When I go to my SMS folder however, the persons name is displayed. Is there anyway to enable display of contact name in SMS received? I have double checked with my contact list. The numbers are correct. However, it refuses to show the contact's name when I first receive the SMS. Only when I go to my SMS folder and read the SMS, the sender's name is at the top.

Click on Search up in the top right hand corner

type in : SMS name display

Then take a look at your results

Short version is you need to have 2 formats in your adress book for your contacts.

both the +6XXXXXXX and the 0148XXXXXX

There is a fix for it. Check the forums for international caller id.
