Default SMS showing the wrong time stamp

Hi, not sure if anyone has this problem, but my SMS is showing msgs in the wrong time, it is 7 hours behind.

I've turned off auto time-zone for time, and set it to where i am, which is vancouver, BC, but it didnt change a thing. Tried turning the phone off, take out sim, and replug and restart but that didnt work. Tried all the resetting option in pref but that didnt work.

Dont really want to restore phone and do all that unlocking and installing again ... >>

So if anyone can help, that would be great!

Do a search. People on rogers in the eastern time zone have a 4 hour difference on some messages.

^ not true. i had a 1.0.2 iPhone and corrected the problem. i just upgraded to 1.1.1 and now the issue has resurfaced. i just don't remember how i solved it. i know it was a simple issue with the timezone being set to Cupertino, California and changing it to your appropriate timezone. I read the solution from this forum but my searching has failed to bring the post in question back up Anyhow, this is where you would edit your timezone...

I'm on Rogers in Canada and recently set my time zone manually to Lisbon, Portugal (5 hours ahead) and then set the date and time manually. So far SMS seem to be coming in with proper time stamps. Just make sure time zone support is on for the calendar and has the proper time zone.
