Well, I guess it's more about application, not settings, so it's not easy to hack compiled SMS.app or something in baseband. Snowbird is working on this, but it's understood that no results can be guaranteed.

Then again I'm in no hurry at all. Let it be 1,2,3 days, or 2 weekends - whatever it takes to produce decent upgrade solution. I have faith in The Team

I seem to be having a problem and Im not sure if it is the same issue as in the thread here. Here goes: When anyone calls me and I let it ring til it goes to Voicemail and hang up, I get a Call Text Alert SMS message which is all gibberish. ie. h2skAPCmKABAZSggKIAFCYYALeSAAlfdpjd. So far I have tested this only from land lines and not other mobile phone call in. This is obviously a problem as I can't understand such gibberish and there must be a way round this. Please help.

I have upgraded fro 1.02 to 1.1.1 and while I was not receiving any alphanumric SMS (i.e. the from part is alpha) now I can receive them but with the following (poorly understood) caveat:

It cuts the display at 7 characters but for some SMS it does display the message and other it does not at all (and the date is bogus).

    Examples:
    • Messages I get from a provider called NTV come accross fine.
    • I get my VM message through SMS from TURKCELL it appears as TURKCEL and I can read the message.
    • I get news from a provider called SAMANYOLU and it appears as SAMANYO and the message part is blank and the date is wrong (1.7.2000)
    • I get bank info from GARANTI and i believe (I don't have a recent one in front of me) the name is truncated anyway (?) and the messages are blank and the date wrong.

I took a loook into SMS.DB and it's wrong there, so the code that takes it from the modem to the db is buggy.

Wtf? I'd like to add, whomever fixed this did a real half ass job
