    Default SMS Bug (POLL)

    Hi There,

I'm having a problem about SMSs, I did read some threads about it, so other people is having the problem too. Every body knows how to fix the .db file for get access to SMS app, BUT not fix at all, because I fix the .db and then, after some hours I received AGAIN the fuc.... SMS locking my SMS app.

There is a way or Patch for fix this issue? because just repair the .db is not the final solution.

    Regards,

    Taguapire.

stop using services that send the bad sms's , they are usually bank or web sms's using alpha numeric senders. work out which services are sending these to you and stop them simple. If you have alot in backlog, put sim in another phone recieve them delete them, cancel them so they don't come anymore and put the sim back in the iphone. There is no other solution at the moment just try to use emails more instead

The most weirdest thing is in fact, that I'm not subscribed to none SMS service. It looks like the phone generate these messages randomly.

the phone doesn't generate messages randomly ! put your sim in another phone and find out where they come from! its not that hard! you said they keep comming just read em on another phone and cancel whoever sends em, otherwise just get a new sim.

Default Yes there is an issue...

....I note some replies seem to suggest that it's your fault......"all you need to do is not subscribe" or locate the sender....Not practical of course but a forum like this often comes up with "a variety of views."

Pre iphone I used to get annoying SMSs from a Dance Party organiser...(Don't ask) and they were simply that a minor annoyance. I spent a bit of time trying to unsubscribe etc to no avail....

Now that i have an iphone I dread Saturday afternoons......this is now a major problem for me.

My SMS service provider (Telstra in Australia) is not helpful at all so all I can hope is that a future iphone update handles exceptional SMSs in a more sensible way than just crashing and requiring SQL database expertise to repair....

    Regards,

change numbers if you can't unsubscribe Im in aus to and have no problem getting rid of annoying sms messages. spend more time trying to unsubscribe make some calls annoy them a bit like they annoy you, other people often have to change their numbers to get away from spammers sometimes its the only way. A consolation is eventually Im sure apple will fix this problem with an update but untill then I wouldn't put up with a crashing phone for the sake of a number change.

but I still think if you try harder you could unsubscribe.
