About LinkBacksYesterday I updated to 1.1.1 an started to receive voicemail notifications and web sms.
If you're having troubles with garbled SMS, you can update to 1.1.1 using the guides, now I can receive all the alphanumeric sender SMS.

It might be partly fixed for you, but certainly isn't fixed for everyone and all SMS messages. Most of us are already on 1.1.1 and still don't receive them without problems.
