Default Slow screen wake up (screen activation from standby)

    Hi there,

I've updated my iPhone from 1.0.2 (jailbreaked & unlock, anySIM) to 1.1.1 (again, unlocked etc) and from there i went on to 1.1.2.

Everything is working on 1.1.2. There's only 1 small (very annoying) problem.

Here is a video to explain the problem:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Jz2mUZIQdc

The iPhone wakes up real slow when pressing the home or power button. When making a call, the screen takes way to long to activate (once you take it away from your ear).

I've had the same problem in 1.1.1. The problem occurred right after the first time i updated the firmware (from 1.0.2).
Ive downgraded from 1.1.2 to 1.0.2 via viginizers (i.unlock.no) and tried the whole jailbreak + unlock process over and over again from the start (1.0.2). Even with different guides. Same result every time..

Note: the screen does activate instantly when displaying notifications (alarm, calendar, sms, calls etc)..

Anyone know a fix for this? Or experiencing the same problem?? (only found 1 other person until now..)

    (I cant go back to 1.0.2, it's to 'laggy/shady' )
    Thanks in advance!

Looks like a CPU usage issue.

SSH in your phone and use "top" command to see which process seizes your CPU.

Thnx, Ok so what am i looking for?
While using 'top' i see a lot of variables changing every second.
When i put the iPhone in sleep mode, and press the home button. 'top' stops changing variables for a sec, until my screen wakes up. Then it shows 'SpringBoard' and 'syslogd' with some activity..

    Anyone?

Can you list all the processes here when in sleep mode ?

Here is the list of processes just after the variables stop changing (i guess the connection is lost when sleep mode is activated?)

Does it happen also when you start the phone without the sim inserted ?

Can you post the top information of the window
(e.g Processes: 24 total, 1 running, 23 sleeping... 74 threads bla bla bla...)

    The top info:

Btw, sometimes it shows negative or huge values like this:

    Is that normal?

The Positive/Negative high Values are insignificant.

After investigating, it appears that there is something wrong with configd.

I can see an abnormal (resident and shared) memory usage.

Can you restart your phone, without the sim card, redo a top grab and post it here ?
