I actually have had the problem ever since I plugged it into a FM transmitter and acidentally put it into airplane mode. I have done plist editing to the power management plist however, by turning off all of the dynamic power options to '0' and reduce processor speed to '1' for battery and ups modes, it does go into sleep mode whenever it is freshly charged but when it gets down to ~ 70% power it starts to act up and cannot come out of sleep mode. Does anyone else have these symptoms?

After several months using the Power Management (PLIST) or Daysleeper fix I was hopeful that the 2.0 firmware would solve this issue. I'm come here to report that it hasn't =(
However I DL'd this application called Insomnia which primary function is to keep your internet connection alive (for AIM) In doing this it acts the same way Daysleepers mod does BUT with less battery drained. Before I was getting about 8 hours on one charge....it has more than doubled since I installed this appl. YMMV. Good luck!

Ok, thanks for the update. Very disapointing though.
Do you know if the Daysleeper fix is still possible though? Meaning is the file still there and works the same way?

Where did you get insomnia from? The App store? Or Cydia?

I'm in the same boat as most of you, i've upgraded to 2.0 ... although this time my wifi is not grey out, it still behaves the same as when it was on 1.1.4...
NO WIFI, and Incoming calls ...unless i have ipod running.

Hey guys, I just updated to 2.0.2 and apparently the Daysleeper fix we used doesn't work anymore because the file we need to edit isn't a simple text file...
(For those who don't know, it's /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/PowerManagement.bundle/com.apple.SystemPowerProfileDefaults.plist )
Anyone has any idea on how to do this power management trick with the new file?

Ok my bad, it actually works with the old fix, you just need to turn the phone off and on again...

Hi all. I am new in the forum and have the same problem. If any of this info could help I hava an OTB 1.1.2 passed to 1.1.4 and jailbroke and unlocked it with Ziphone loosing wify and Bluetooyh. I manage to fix the wify and BT problem and then I found out the no wake up problem that was fixed wiyh daysleeper fix. Few days ago I updated to 2.0.2 and use Pwnage to jailbreak and unlock it. Everything seems to work perfectly 2 or 3 days. Then the no wake up problem reapears. I have updated to 2.1 and use Pwnage tool for 2.1 firmware and everything is working perfectly but the no wake up issue persist. I have tried to use daysleeper modification of file "com.apple.SystemPowerProfileDefaults.plist" but once I replace the modified file and begin to use the iPhone it begin to have a strange behaviour including constant reset of the iphone. So it seems this is not gonna work for FW 2.x.
I have been looking at the forum and would like to know if someone have found out an aplication that can be intalled in FW 2.x and works for fixing this issue although it reduce battery life...
Have any of you try the hardware solution posted in this forum from an european forum?. does it work?.
Hope anyone can fix this...

Hi All. I've been struggling with this problem for about a year now. I've tried several methods, including John Tool, but nothing worked. Finally, I tried the orcinus method in this thread and it worked but Battery life went down dramatically. I had to recharge my phone everyday and most of the time it didnt even reach one full day of usage. If i left my phone at full charge at night, it would be drained by morning. I recently had my phone upgraded to 2.1 firmware. Now the problem is gone! I get all incoming calls and sms messages even in sleep mode. Im checking how long the battery will last, but so far it seems like it will last for more than a day (even with heavy internet usage). Hope this helps all of you because I know how frustrating this prob can get.
