no never had this problem, i had originally 1.1.2 BL 4.6 but i downgraded BL to 3.9 with ZIphone then unlocked 1.1.3 with the correct modem firmware because with BL 4.6 you cant unlock the 1.1.3 with its correct baseband so thats why all these problems occur its because when you unlock a 1.1.2 BL 4.6 iphone it updates to 1.1.3 but you still have 1.1.2 modem firmware so that makes problems literally its a crippled 1.1.3.

    2)
iphone doesn't wake up from sleep on incoming call no signal(you will find a voicemail,if you have it)

I have this strange problem too, so far I've used the method from post no. 188 to fix(workarround) this problem but the battery drain was just horrible.

I can really recommend to try the app called iMapIdle I'm using this now since one week and never missed a incoming call or sms. It's not a fix it's just another workarround for this problem, but imho the battery drain is by far not as bad as disabling the powermangement. You only have to ensure that each time you reboot your iphone that you activate iMapIdle -> it's simple open the app and set activate on.

My battery lasts now for about 2 days, with the other workarround my battery was down in about 20-24hours depending on usage.

Give it a shot It might get you somewhat happier.

some details about my iphone :

    - Calendar Week 49 iPhone
    - OOTB 1.1.2 BL 4.6
    - restored to fw 1.1.3
    - unlocked, jb & activated by ziphone 2.3 / 2.4

excuse my english, I hope it wasn't too bad.

    cheers

Phew!! The problem is gone for now...

My phone is a week 48 1.1.2 OTB. I had gotten it unlocked using X-Sim earlier and was facing a lot of problems with the signal initially due to the x-sim and also the sleep mode but i thought it was the xsim.

Then the software unlock came out and i unlocked again ,without a software restore of the iphone, using the first GUI that was released by ZiPhone.
Then i was just getting the signal loss at sleep mode only.

After this i read the solution on the page 37 for this and i followed it i.e. upgraded to 1.1.3 through itunes. Then got the latest ziphone GUI and pushed the all button.
It downgraded my bootloader to 3.9 and also unlocked it and jailbroke it.

From then i have been testing the phone but have not found any problems.

Thanks for the solutions to all and to ziphone for the ridiculously simple interface.

Anyone who has done this, can you please tell me of the softwares you have installed without getting the signal loss problem again.

Just wanted to report that a restore to 1.1.3 and unlock using ziphone 2.4 fixed my no incoming call problem that I've been living with since the first day I got this phone, about 7 months.

Now, I just hope, with so many re-charges I had to do over the last 7 months, I didn't do too much damage to the battery. Isn't there a limit to the number of recharges? I used to worry about that to the point where I would turn my phone off at night just to conserve battery power.

Gee, what a mind game this whole experience has been! I never worried about any other electronic gadget so much before this. All electronics have such a short lifespan anyway. There's probably going to be some slick new model coming out soon. I'm guessing a 32G, 3G, slim like itouch, and maybe some color choices.

Anyway, thanks to Apple for fixing this annoying problem and good luck to all with your fixes or workarounds. I'll keep an eye out on this thread to see how everyone is doing, and I hope I won't have to report any relapse to this dreaded disease.

    @ Punani

The version of ziphone is 2.4

BTW battery life has improved dramatically and the phone is also not heating up as much, since morning it has used only the first of the battery section.

Mind you this is with moderate usage of phone not ipod though i have kept my mail checking at auto for 1hr checks.
