When going to sleep mode the bb crashes (see my log from before).
Consistant and happens every time the phone goes to sleep.
    Probably hardware issue.

Yeah, if it can't get into / exit low power state properly it's probably busted hardware... I'm not sure about the clock issue, though, never heard of it before now.

    Here goes:

    1. Access the iPhone's file system by a method of your choice (iPhoneList or other manzana.dll app, iPHUC, SCP)
    2. Go to /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/PowerManagement.bundle/
    3. Back up com.apple.SystemPowerProfileDefaults.plist somewhere safe
    4. Delete or rename com.apple.SystemPowerProfileDefaults.plist
    5. Reboot

You can check if it worked by going to Settings > Usage and checking the Usage and Standby values. If they stay the same no matter what you do, that's it

Same caveat applies as with the MP3 non-solution - your iPhone won't be able to go into sleep and, thus, the battery life will shorten greatly. The battery will die in <24 hours with the phone just sitting there.
    Hi Orcinius,

    Does this work with 1.1.1?

I guess this does what John Tool do, but without having to reestart every time.

Yes, it works with 1.1.1, but i think it doesn't do the exact same thing as JohnTool.

JohnTool/SummerBoard keep the baseband from sleeping (entering low power state), while this, at least as far as i can tell, doesn't let the whole iPhone go to sleep completely.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, John Tool fixed the issue on my phone. I'm running on 1.02. and I have summerboard 2.11 and everything works fine. I'm thinking about upgrading to 1.1.1. But I'm pretty scared that this will make John Tool not working anymore. Has anyone been in the exact same situation?

The johntool didn't work for me, and summerboard (version 2.11) would create a black screen on my phone when coming back from sleep.
    I am version 1.0.2

Orcinus, your post worked for me! Thanks! You are right, the battery life goes to the toilet though.

okay guys ... I don't know if this is actually gonna work but it might be worth a try so ...there is this software called imap idle that is supposed to simulate push on the iphone and it keeps the connection live in the background even in sleep state ...which means installing the software should work fine for us handicaped iphones !!!
