Skipping lockscreen on boot
A friend and I have both recently been having problems with our iPhone 3Gs (or is it iPhones 3G?). Apps are crashing -- including things like iPod -- and we're both having issues with Calendar syncing. Interestingly, I have MobileMe which isn't syncing (no errors) and he doesn't sync his calendar but gets errors when syncing his phone with iTunes. Kooky!
Anyway, we both noticed that, when booting, both iPhones boot directly to the home screen, not the lock screen. Neither of us remember that being normal behavior. Is this a clue to the culprit or just a coincidence? Or, better yet, is it a recently-changed, now-normal behavior?
iPhone 3GS, 5.0.1 firmware, jailbroken and unlocked

This all should not happen. You might consider DFU-restoring (shift-click on windows, option-click on Mac) to firmware 2.2 (NOT 2.2.1 OR YOU ARE STUCK) and redo the jailbreak/unlock.

I would much rather NOT do a restore. I was hoping that others might have the same problem and be able to pinpoint the cause.

I ended up doing a restore and going to 2.2.1. But I would be curious if others are getting this behavior....
