Default "SIM Locked" after geohot's hw method?

    I followed Geohot's method (needles trick requires a magnifying glass, dammit!) and everything seemed to work fine, right down to the point of seeing this out from minicom (which still shows it when I test);
    Code:
    Welcome to minicom 2.2

    OPTIONS:
    Compiled on Jul 21 2007, 05:09:51.
    Port /dev/tty.baseband

Press CTRL-A Z for help on special keys

    AT S7=45 S0=0 L1 V1 X4 &c1 E1 Q0
    OK
    AT+CLCK="PN",2
    +CLCK: 0

    OK
I put in my TMobile SIM, deactivated (then rebooted), re-activated (then rebooted) with iASign web, but the phone complains that the SIM is locked and gives me a chance to enter a PIN to unlock with a scary "3 attempts remaining" warning.

I know CommCenter is starting, since it's in the list and minicom won't run until I do a launchctl unload to get rid of it. But once I do, I can go into minicom and see that +CLCK: 0 thing.

The phone appears to be activated fine, since I can get around in the menus. But, of course, it also appears locked.

Any clues or next stabs I can take?

    It defaults to 1234, http://search.t-mobile.com/inquiraap...box=sim+unlock

I have no personal experience though, so get some second opinions too. Please post back here letting us know what you find.

Argh, I am a total dumbass. I forgot that I had put a PIN on that SIM when I was travelling abroad. I entered the PIN and it worked great. I'm sure I would have figured it out when I put the SIM back in my Nokia...

Hopefully, somebody else who makes the same mistake will find this thread.
