Default Should I Upgrade To Firmware 2.2.1?

Hi guys! I bought a jailbroken 2G iphone with 2.2 firmware. Do you guys think it's worth upgrading the firmware to 2.2.1? If so, how should I upgrade it without locking it?

It's really up to you. No major improvements on 2.2.1. Follow iClariefied's tutorials. Good luck

Not worth the update mate, on my own iPhone I kept 2.2.

The one I use to test is 2.2.1 and nothing different!

    regards

If you like playing with your iPhone do it. Otherwise, leave it be. No major fixes or changes AFAIK.

If you do so, be careful and read dev Team's instructions first (if you want to keep unlock options). Yellowsn0w will not work with the regular upgrade through iTunes.

Well he has a 2G. As far as I'm aware, the 2G can be unlocked on any baseband including the 2.2.1 "upgrade."

The 2G can always be unlocked but as 2.21 was only really bought out to stop YellowSn0w working there is very little point in upgrading unless you like restoring.
For the apps that need 2.21 just use FWChanger.
